“The Acute Team at Waimarino have banned me from using their services for 6 months and will only see me IF I AM DESPERATE at the Henderson Police Station or at the Waiatarau Clinic (I am still a patient, am on leave).
They also said they if I need any respite care then we have to pay for it ourselves.
I only use the service once every few years when I am seriously suicidal. They have also misdiagnosed me for several years and I am now being assessed for both Bipolar 1 disorder and Multiple Personality Disorder.
They have banned me because my other personality smashed their windows.
I’ve got a psychiatrist and a psychologist on my side but I’m so upset from the treatment from the CAT team that I can’t even talk to them at the moment because they trigger me off!!!!
They have been treating us like crap for years and I’m not alone. Everything I say is on record.
I got so upset looking at my file the other day I just felt like ending it all but I came back OK.

Thanks for posting my story. I am saddened to read that I am not alone. I’m tired of the nonsense myself and my peers have to go through just to get appropriate medical attention when we are sick.
